Like the outgoing 2017 Elantra, the all-new 2017 Elantra comes available with a choice of two powertrains. The majority of 2017 Elantra models come equipped with Hyundai's 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine which generates 147 horsepower. The standard 2.0-liter can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. While even the standard Elantra powertrain achieves impressive fuel economy, the efficiency-focused 2017 Elantra Eco features a 1.4-liter turbocharged inline-four engine, producing 128 hp and improving fuel economy further. To help maximize efficiency, the turbocharged Elantra Eco comes standard with a sleek 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
While the exterior of the 2017 Elantra has received a thorough restyling, so has the interior. Inside the all-new 2017 Elantra, drivers and passengers will be rewarded with an upgraded cabin that features sophisticated and upscale styling -- especially for a compact car at this price! Many of the styling cues and rich amenities of the Elantra's larger sibling, the Sonata, have been adopted inside the Elantra's cabin. The new, wider center stack of the 2017 Elantra makes its infotainment system even more user-friendly. The Elantra was the first compact car to offer heated seats for both front and rear passengers, and that feature is once again available -- now in the 2017 model year.
For 2017, the Hyundai Elantra is offered in five trim levels, each offering a unique Elantra experience. The 2017 Elantra SE base model comes standard equipped with amenities like a 60/40 split-folding rear seatback, air conditioning, power windows and door locks and a 6-way adjustable driver seat. The popular Elantra Value Edition adds features like a 7-inch display audio system, power sunroof, power driver seat, Bluetooth hands-free phone system with voice recognition and steering wheel mounted controls. High-tech and luxury features like Hyundai's Blue Link Connected Car Telematics System, rearview camera with dynamic guidelines and leather seating surfaces with heated front seats come standard on the range-topping 2017 Elantra Limited trim.
